Bio
Michael Sutton is a professional drummer and teacher who has recently relocated to Los Angeles after living in New York City for more than a decade.  Originally from Johnson City, TN  he attended Berklee College of Music as a World Scholarship recipient graduating cum laude in 2005.
 
As a freelance performer, Michael has worked across a wide variety of genres appearing everywhere from rock tours, studios, and NYC jazz clubs to cruise ships and casinos.  He has worked across the spectrum of acoustic singer-songwriters to complex progressive rock and world music and into the outer reaches of free improvisation.
 
Also, as an active educator, he has taught drums privately and in group settings for close to 20 years.  
 
Outside of music, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and their cat Margo.
